（1）Novartis Research Grant

Qualification	Applied innovative research must be conducted in Japan.
Closing date for application	mid-September every year
Decision on grantees	End of February of the next following year.
Granted period	From April of the next following year to March of the year after next.
Nominators	Presidents or Faculty deans of the designated universities, Directors of the designated research institutes or Board members of the Foundation.

（2）Grant for International Research Meeting

Qualification	Applied international research meetings must be held in Japan between April and March next following year.
Closing date for application	End of September every year.
Decision on grantees	End of February of the next following year.
Nominators	Unnecessary (open application system)

（3）Biocamp in Japan

To contribute to the growth of the biotechnology sector in Japan, the Novartis Foundation (Japan) partners with Novartis Pharma K.K. to co-sponsor this three day workshop. Participants are selected by open application.
